Terms

The honest terms.

Plain language, no hiding the risky parts. This page explains what Flock is, what can go wrong, and how trust works while it is still custodial.

Read this first

This is a plain-language summary written to be understood, not formal legal text, and it is not legal advice. Full legal terms will be published before Flock handles real funds. Until then, treat Flock as experimental and only risk what you can afford to lose.

What Flock is

Flock lets you build and buy baskets of bonded Pump.fun coins on Solana. A basket is called a flock. When you buy a flock, you get a share that is backed 1:1 by the real coins held in that flock's Nest, and you can sell that share back at any time.

Flock is experimental software, offered as-is. By using it you accept everything on this page.

The risk is real

Pump.fun coins are highly volatile and many of them go to zero. A flock spreads your exposure across several coins, but it does not remove the risk. The value of a flock can fall fast and can reach zero.

Nothing on Flock is financial advice, a recommendation, or a promise of any return. You are responsible for your own decisions. Only commit funds you can afford to lose entirely.

Custody in v1

In this version, Flock is custodial. The real coins behind a flock sit in a Nest, which is an address whose key is held by the operator. The key is encrypted at rest, and only an isolated service can use it to make a trade. Even so, you are trusting the operator to run the system honestly, not a smart contract.

This is stated plainly because it matters. A future version moves the backing on-chain and removes that trust. Until then, the custodial model is the model. The holdings are kept verifiable on-chain and reconciled on a schedule, and you can always sell out for your slice of the real coins.

Fees

Every buy and sell carries a small protocol fee, and a builder fee set by whoever created the flock. Buys also include a gas reserve to cover the on-chain swaps. All of these are shown in the quote before you confirm a trade. The numbers you see are the numbers you pay.

If you build a flock

Anyone can build a flock. When you do, you choose the coins, their weights, and your builder fee within the allowed range. You are responsible for the flock you create. Building a flock is not an endorsement of the coins in it by anyone, including Flock.

Only coins that meet the eligibility rules (bonded, traded in a SOL pool, with a valid price and enough liquidity) can be added.

Independence and affiliation

Flock is an independent protocol. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Pump.fun, Jupiter, Solana, or any coin that appears in a flock. Names and logos belong to their respective owners and appear only to identify the coins.

What we will never do

Flock will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys. The official account, @flockmarkets, will never message you first. Anyone who does either of those things is trying to scam you. Treat every unexpected message, link, or approval request with suspicion.

Limits

Flock is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for losses arising from your use of Flock, from coin price movements, from third-party services such as wallets, swap routers, or RPC providers, or from network conditions on Solana.

Do not use Flock if doing so is unlawful where you are, or if you are barred from using this kind of service.

Changes

These terms will evolve as Flock moves through its phases, and formal legal terms will be published before live trading with real funds. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
